We specialize in criminal litigation and offer our expertise in a variety of areas of practice such as Traffic Violations, Personal Injury, Criminal Matters and hearings at various governmental agencies. Our Nassau County office is conveniently located at 119 Jackson Street, Hempstead, New York, across the street from the Nassau County District Court. Many of our clients come to the office before Court to further discuss their case and prepare for the morning’s court appearance.
Our office is just a few blocks from the Nassau County Traffic Violations Agency “NCTVA”. We routinely appear at the NCTVA, and have handled thousands of tickets successfully for our clients. We handle tickets from start to finish and have had hundreds of tickets dismissed based on motions effectively argued to the Judges at the NCTVA. Excellent representation at the NCTVA has saved our clients fines and points on their license.
Our firm is committed to providing quality legal service by communicating with clients, being well prepared for court and aggressively advocating on our clients behalf. Our legal assistants are fluent in Spanish.

Tara Mayerhofer
Tara Mayerhofer, Esq. was admitted to the New York State Bar in 2006. She received her Juris Doctorate Degree from St. John’s University Law School located in Jamaica, New York. Prior to graduating St. John’s, she attended SUNY Stony Brook where she received her B.A. degree in sociology and graduated with Magna Cum Laude honors.
While in Law School Tara was a law clerk to Judge Debra Urbano-DiSalvo, a criminal court Judge in Suffolk County. While working for Judge Urbano-DiSalvo Tara performed legal research on various criminal law issues.
After graduating Law School in 2005, Tara went into private practice and began working for a law firm specializing in criminal defense and traffic matters. Her education and career path has continuously been focused on the practice of criminal law. From 2005 to the present, Tara has represented a large multitude off clients in need of criminal defense.
